Game Boys: Free To Play

Our second outing as Game Boys and an expansion and evolution of those ideas from the original show. This time we built a narrative around the sketches and really introduced a lot more interactive elements to the performance. It was still largely centred around our history of gaming throughout the 90s but this time we brought the games to life on stage.

With a completed script, we were seeking a director to help elevate the work. This led us to Kinetic Screen who saw an incredible amount of potential in the technical aspects of the show. These two festival seasons laid the foundations for the collaboration that would become Game Boys Comedy.

‘This manic romp through their personal history of games is an exhilarating and hilarious ride.’
